Susan has been with Teignbridge CVS since 2005 , coming ‘south’ from East Devon where she established the CVS infrastructure EDVSA. Susan’s early working life was with the Royal Air Force but for 35 years she has been actively engaged with the voluntary sector, both as a volunteer and employee, in England and overseas.
As a teenager she started volunteering with the Cats Protection League, when she left the RAF she volunteered overseas setting up a HIVE (Help, Information, Volunteer, Exchange) and later, on returning to the UK moved into working for voluntary sector infrastructure organisations.
Along the way, she has been a Foster Carer, a School Governor, trained as a counsellor and is a regular on the football terraces; she loves live music, singing and dancing (neither of which she does with any level of skill), food and holidays
