Claire joined Teignbridge CVS in December 2020 as a Home From Hospital Support Worker, based at Torbay Hospital. She works on the wards, identifying patients (and their carers and families) who will benefit from support from voluntary and community services when they are discharged from hospital. Claire has a teaching degree and an NVQ4 in Health and Social Care and has worked in schools (mainstream and learning disabilities), hospitals, a Nursing Home and, most recently, in a Community Social Care Team supporting people with sight loss.
When not at work Claire enjoys volunteering at a local Cat Rescue, walking, photography and learning Modern Greek.
