Ali works alongside Jane Weir on the Homes for Ukraine Programme. Her role as a resettlement worker involves helping people to find training and employment as well as teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
She worked with young people and families in the community for the past 20 years and has run employability and financial literacy courses throughout Teignbridge, as well as working with various community organisations to support people back into education, training or employment.
Ali is a qualified adult education tutor, ESOL teacher (CELTA) and has done a level 3 award in counselling skills.
Ali spent several years travelling around the world until she settled back in glorious Devon some 25 years ago where she enjoys a quiet life with her 2 dogs that she enjoys walking in the countryside or the beach. Reading, Pilates, Yoga and swimming in the sea are also amongst her hobbies.
