The Sofa: Coming to a Town Near You

As I lie here being gradually inflated by my new Teignbridge CVS friends, I can’t help but wonder how many new people I’m going to meet on my journey across Teignbridge over the next couple of months.

Let me introduce myself, I’m ‘The Sofa’. I’m new to the area after being confined to a box on a dark shelf since my creation, but now I’m free and very excited to explore! I’ve even been promised a trip to see the sea.

I’ve been given one job – providing friendly, comfortable and relaxing seating. This seating will come accompanied by one or more of my very friendly and approachable humans who will be able talk to you about your personal circumstances or even something relating to your community. If they can’t offer support while you sit back and enjoy taking the weight off your feet, then they will be able to point you in the right direction!

My humans have told me that sometimes people can find it challenging to get the right support, speak to the right person or just don’t want to sit on the phone waiting to be put through to someone. With me, the only thing you will need to worry about is being too comfortable to get back on your feet again.

The Sofa will be in:

Teignmouth (Triangle) – Tuesday 3rd September – 9:30-11:30

Bovey Tracey (Outside Library in car park) – Wednesday 11th September – 11:30-13:30

Ashburton (North Street) – Tuesday 17th September – 11:30-13:30

Newton Abbot (Courtenay Street – Outside Eat That Frog) – Thursday 19th September – 11:30-13:30
